Art and Crafts Classes
Whether you want to get the creative juices flowing or want to brush up your artistic techniques, we’ll provide the friendly atmosphere, a relaxed pace, an enjoyable day, an inspirational setting and stunning architecture - all we need is you!
All courses are organised by Cowbridge Community College as part of the Vale of Glamorgan Council and run from 10am until 4pm.
Watercolour and Landscape painting with Peter Cronin
Always wanted to try your hand at drawing or painting? These co-ordinated courses are a step-by-step approach to learning and developing your skills in Watercolour. Why not try all six days with different themes incorporating new styles.
Photography with a Digital Camera with Glyn Evans
For those special events it’s important to have that perfect photo. Learn how to take a good picture with
your digital camera. These are beginner courses, so choose a date to suit you.
Beaded Jewellery-making with Joy Fry
Whatever your ability, you’ll learn how to create a personalised bracelet or necklace. The tutor will provide beads at a cost of £4.
Floral Design with professional florist, Anne-Marie Merlini
Create some beautiful flower arrangements for those special events or have fun developing your flair. The course is suitable for all levels. There is a small shopping list of flowers for the course – phone 01446 773831.
Hand-made cards for Valentines
Using stamps, inks and all sorts of things to make a memorable valentine or two! Perhaps a few extra special occasion cards for someone you love. Kit available on the day for £2.50 - please bring glue stick and scissors.

Get Dancing
The magical era of afternoon tea dances (or thé dansant) evolved from the concept of afternoon tea and is a commonly found in early 20th century fiction as a staple of genteel society notably in resort towns such as Brighton. These new dance events in the beautiful Glassroom at the arts centre offer you the opportunity to learn Latin American, Ballroom and Old Time, meet new people, have fun, and of course, enjoy afternoon tea! No experience necessary or partner required.
