Beyond The Border Festival’s Terms and Conditions
Ticket Buying:
- Tickets to Beyond the Border are issued by Beyond the Border Storytelling Festival Ltd.
- Ticket prices are inclusive of VAT. VAT registration no: 129 9080 91 . A small booking fee and/or
postage fee may be charged by ticket outlets.
- Online ticket buyers will be issued with a Booking Reference which must be brought to the
Festival Box Office and exchanged for a wristband which must be kept for the duration
of the Festival. Buyers booking by phone may choose between a posted paper ticket or a
Booking Reference. Either must be exchanged as above.
- Child (5-16 years) and Under 5's tickets may only be bought by an accompanying adult who
takes responsibility for that Child during the Festival.
- Camping is free of charge but ticket buyers wishing to camp must hold a Festival Weekend
Ticket (with camping).
- Ticket buyers claiming concessionary reductions (Full time student, over 65, disabled,
unemployed) may be asked to provide proof of status at wristband exchange.
- Ticket buyers give permission for photographic, audio and video footage taken of them in
festival spaces to be used for promotion by Beyond the Border Storytelling Festival Ltd and
its partners.
- Once purchased, tickets will not be refunded, nor credit notes issued, nor may they be resold
without express permission of Beyond the Border Storytelling Festival Ltd.
Refunds, Cancellations and Liability
- Tickets offer access to the Festival as a whole. Whilst Beyond the Border Storytelling
Festival Ltd will aim to stay as close to the advertised programme as possible, we reserve
the right to change this programme. Changes to line up do not constitute grounds for a
refund or compensation.
- Tickets offer access to all performances subject to capacity. Being refused entrance
to a performance because a venue is full does not constitute grounds for a refund or
compensation.
- In the event of cancellation for any reason, Beyond the Border Storytelling Festival Ltd
liability will be limited, at a maximum, to the purchase value of the ticket (not including
booking fees). Travel, accommodation and other arrangements remain the responsibility of
the ticket holder.
- In the event of cancellation of the event for reasons outside the control of Beyond
the Border Storytelling Festival Ltd (eg adverse weather, national disaster) refunds of
ticket purchase value will only be issued if requested by the ticket buyer in writing or
electronically within 28 days from the date of cancellation, and remain limited as in 11.
- Beyond the Border Storytelling Festival Ltd accepts no liability for loss or damage of
vehicles or property on the festival site.
Festival Etiquette
- A full list of acceptable behaviour for the festival and camp-site is provided at
www.beyondtheborder.com and on arrival at the festival. Beyond the Border Storytelling Festival
reserve the right to remove from the festival anyone not complying with those rules.
- The following are not permitted at the festival site: Illegal substances; Dogs (except access
dogs); the use of audio or visual recording equipment inside venues without permission;
smoking inside any venue, including tented venues; and open flames outside of designated
areas.
