The First Arts for Peace programme for Wales

Arts for Peace is an amazing Ireland-based charity, who’s patron is the Nobel Peace Laureate, John Hume. It creates cultural bridges through our children and its therapeutic recreation programmes were set up to provide healing and rehabilitation for the countless children who suffer from violence in Ireland and around the world. Through challenging arts and sports based activities, it also provides a forum for mediation, dialogue and understanding between children from diverse cultures.

In its partnership between the arts centre and the United World College of the Atlantic it has brought its pioneering work to Wales for the first time. Our next Welsh programme will run in the New Year for which we will be bringing together a group of children from the Lebanon, Ireland and Wales.

Drama, Singing and Dance Schools for children

These are all fantastic opportunities to have great fun gaining acting, dancing and music skills and then creating a show on stage for family and friends.

The ethos is pure encouragement and fun – side-effects include increased confidence, self esteem, communication and teamwork skills! We offer an open access policy, so that means you and your friends will not be auditioned and you will not need any previous experience.
